HYBRID PHONIC COMPREHENSION ACTIVITIES

The Hybrid Phonic Comprehension Activities are a series of exercises that teaches the student the understanding of the words that they just learned while reinforcing the phonic skills of that unit. These exercises combine the phonic skills that the student learns in each of the units with activities that develop and teach comprehension skills.  There are two exercises per unit for a total of 96 activities for all 3 grade levels.

Hybrid Phonic Comprehension Activities   Present 2 unique comprehension activities per unit based around the phonic keywords Teach comprehension, word meaning, and study skills while simultaneously reinforcing phonics Follow the same unit and skill sequence as the other Reading Sparker® materials

The same phonic keywords taught in the Original 48 Printed Phonic Gameboards and Reading Sparkers® Online Games are used to construct the comprehension activities.  The result: students learn to comprehend while simultaneously having their recently learned phonic skills reinforced.

The Hybrid Phonic Comprehension Activities use a variety of creative exercises to teach the student the meaning of the words they are reading including:

• Complete the sentence
• Word match
• Select the best answer
• Rhyme the line
