The following information is provided to help you with learning our online program. Please read to determine your system requirments are capable of running Reading Sparkers Online.

• When each section of the RSO games starts, the student sees and hears a brief instruction on the phonic element or skill that is taught in that section. The student can repeat the instructions as many times as they want.
• RSO gives the student some brief directions on how to play and displays all of the words in the section.  The student can proceed and play the game when they are ready. The game then asks for a word with the specific phonic element or skill being taught.  The student must scan the words in the game and click on the correct word.
• RSO has game settings that can be customizable for a classroom, an individual student or a specific unit for an individual student. For the Demo, the game allows the student 7 seconds to select a word before prompting the student again to respond to the statement.
• The RSO Demo is also set to give the student 4 attempts to select the correct word.  On the 3rd and 4th incorrect answers, RSO decreases the words displayed in the game by 50%.  If the student fails to select the correct word, RSO teaches the student the correct answer.
• At any point during the game, the student can click the 'Stop' button to either pause or stop the game.

• Windows 98, Mac OS 10.x running on a 450mhz CPU or better.
• 128 MB of RAM installed or better.
• Sound card.
• 800 x 600 resolution, 16 Bit Resolution or higher for display.
• Internet browser with JavasScript enabled.
  How to Enable JavaScript
  Internet Explorer 6.X
  Open Internet Explorer.
  Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
  In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
  Click Custom level button at bottom right. The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
  Under Scripting category check Enable for the following options: Active Scripting, Allow paste options via script and Scripting of Java applets

Click OK twice to close out.
